I will sing with the spirit and with the understanding.
The Choir of St. Paul's provides music for the services of worship at the church both for the regular Sunday liturgy, Evensongs, the Service of Lessons and Carols for Advent, as well as other services during the year.
Our commitment is to provide sacred music of excellence, both ancient and modern, offering to the congregation, the Diocese, and to the larger community music for the praise of God and for the enrichment of God’s people.
While the choir is composed of people from a variety of religious traditions, we expect it to be a community of musicians whose ministry is to lead the People of God in their public worship.
Application for membership in the church choir is open to all interested persons by audition. As the choir sings music of a challenging caliber, it is expected that singers meet minimum standards of musicianship and the Choirmaster has the final word on admission to the Choir.
It is expected that members of the Choir will be able to make a commitment to regular Thursday evening rehearsal and Sunday services, and to special events as scheduled.
